This is the basic leader formula I use on most of my ESN / Euro / High Stick rigs.
The tippet rings help get the leader down and also rolls over better (IMHO) with lob / flop casts, etc.
I use a single barrel swivel (the smallest I can find (Size 12 / 6MM on Amazon - link: http://a.co/6qIx5zn) to tie in both my flies. I like this as opposed to using a double surgeon's knot with a long tag dropper because the barrel swivel eliminates the single point of failure introduced into the system with the knot/tag approach. That said, many many pros use the knot/tag approach - and I'm certainly not a pro, so if you don't like my barrel swivels just Recast this leader (button at right) and swap it out for the material of your choice.
The tippet you run from the barrel to the flies varies based on water turbidity and size of fish you are targeting. I always run the heaviest tippet I can get away with.
